With National Athletic Training Month officially kicking off March 1, you might be looking for ways to celebrate the profession and shine a light on athletic training's “Champions in Health Care.”
Whether you’ve got five minutes or five hours to devote to your efforts, NATA is here to help. Each week in March, NATA Now will highlight three NATM celebration tips, ranging in time needed to accomplish. We will also highlight the resources you can use as you shout out your peers and increase the public’s understanding of the athletic training profession.

Got Five Minutes? Add the NATM Logo to Your Signature
Add the NATM logo, found on the NATM webpage, to your email signature. Highlighting the NATM logo in your signature is another way to express your athletic training pride. There are different logo sizes and file formats from which you can choose. Depending on your email provider, you can easily customize your signature with your preferred size.
Have a Bit More Time? Promote Your Skill Set
Read the March 2022 NATA News article, “Marketing Your AT Skills 101,” on p.14, which features advice from the NATA Council on Practice Advancement to bring awareness to your skill set. The committee’s tips provide insight into how to use data to demonstrate value, ways to communicate with stakeholders and how to collaborate with peers. The article also highlights NATA’s value models, which athletic trainers can use to track their return on investment for employers and the tangible results they bring to their organization.
Have Even More Time? Express Your Appreciation
Show your love and appreciation for the profession by publishing an ad on your school or hospital websites or in sports programs, magazines or other printed publications. You can also write an open “thank you” letter to the profession as a vehicle to raise awareness. This can also be published or distributed within your organization or publicly.
