NATA would like to congratulate all of its 2016 award winners, who will be honored during the 67th Clinical Symposia & AT Expo at 2 p.m. today in Swing Hall of the Baltimore Convention Center.
This year, NATA welcomes seven athletic trainers into its Hall of Fame. The 2016 class includes: David Craig, ATC, LAT, Michael Goldenberg, MS, ATC, Robert Gray Jr., MS, ATC, David Scott Linaker, MS, ATC, Dwight Eric McDonnell, MEd, ATC, LAT, Patrick Sexton, EdD, ATC, and Gary Wilkerson, EdD, ATC, FNATA. These deserving athletic trainers have worked to improve the profession as well as the lived of those for whom they care – be it student athlete or Olympic athlete. They’ve selflessly shared their talents and have inspired others to do the same.
In addition to recognizing the 2016 Hall of Fame class, NATA will honor 15 Most Distinguished Athletic Trainers, 45 AT Service Award winners and many more deserving individuals who have impacted to the athletic training profession.
“It’s a privilege for an association to recognize its best members for their contributions to the profession and association on the local, state, district and national levels, as well as for their academic and leadership contributions,” said NATA Honors & Awards Committee Chair Chuck Kimmel, ATC, LAT. “As we share the day with these wonderful award recipients, enjoy the acknowledgement of their accomplishments and excellence.”
