Since the NATA restructure was announced in November 2024, staff has been evaluating projects, initiatives and workload to ensure the national office is still meeting the members’ needs as we right-size.
As a result of this evaluation process, the NATA Marketing & Communications Department has made the decision to take NATA News from a monthly publication to a bimonthly publication.
This decision was carefully considered and thoughtfully made. While multiple options were examined, the NATA Communications Team, with the support of the NATA leadership, determined a bimonthly production schedule would allow staff to maintain the high quality members have come to expect from NATA News while continuing to build our other communication channels, such as NATA Now, and exploring new avenues of storytelling. This is just one of the many enhancements coming under the NATA Network as we refine how we connect with members throughout the year.
NATA News will remain a print publication, with members still receiving a physical copy mailed to them as well as access to the entire NATA News digital archive on the NATA website (members still have the ability to opt out of receiving the physical copy if they wish).
With the new bimonthly schedule, members can expect to receive their physical NATA News copy toward the end of the first month listed on the publication. This schedule was created to ensure each issue was relevant for both of its months.
Members can also expect a 20% page increase per issue. This will accommodate more news and information and allow staff to explore new types of content, such as more insight from NATA leaders and member recognition.
The bimonthly production schedule will begin with the March/April NATA News. Members can expect to receive their physical copy beginning March 20. This issue will include more insight from NATA Senior Communications Manager and NATA News Editor-in-Chief Beth Sitzler.
We appreciate members’ support as NATA continues to adapt to the ever-changing landscape. If you have any questions or comments regarding NATA News, email marketing@nata.org.
