NATA is a featured partner in the 2021 Health Professions Week (HPW), Nov. 4-11. As the biggest career event for health professions, HPW brings together various health profession organizations to promote health care careers to high school students, college students, career changers, parents, advisors and counselors. HPW is an eight-day, one-stop shop of events to explore more than 20 career options.
Events and activities will take place throughout the week, including Health Talks Nov. 6, during which NATA’s “What is an Athletic Trainer” video will be available on HPW’s YouTube playlist. Participants can join in the HPW YouTube comments or on Twitter using the hashtag #HPW2021. Students will be able to visit NATA’s booth at the Virtual Fair 2 to 8 p.m. CST Nov. 10.

HPW Scavenger Hunt (Nov. 4)
Get ready to browse, read and click your way through HPW’s digital subway. Students will find career clues that lead them to discover their future career, including the athletic training profession.
Health Talks (Nov. 6)
A series of short and motivational career presentations made by professionals from a variety of industries. Registered participants can join the discussion in the HPW YouTube comments or on Twitter using the hashtag #HPW2021.
Live Panels (Nov. 4, 5 and 9)
Live panels and webinars featuring current professionals and students.
Super Savvy Money Game (Nov. 8)
Students download the game board and watch video clues to explore several options for paying for a health professions education.
Virtual Fair (Live from 2 to 8 p.m. CST Nov. 10)
Join 22 health professions at this live, six-hour event where attendees can engage with current health professions students, professionals, practitioners and representatives of the participating organizations, including NATA.
HPW Veteran’s Salute (Nov. 11)
HPW will feature both veterans in health care and health care professionals who serve veteran populations. This is a social media event on Instagram and HPW will use the hashtag #HPWSalute.
