The NATA Student Leadership Committee (SLC) is offering the Chuck Kimmel First-Time Attendee Award to help students attend the NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo. To assist students with the financial obligation of attending, this award is designated to enable athletic training students to attend their first annual NATA convention. Athletic training students who have not attended the NATA convention are eligible for this award.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Chuck Kimmel First-Time Attendee Award is to honor the outstanding man and athletic trainer that Chuck Kimmel was. Mr. Kimmel provided students with opportunities throughout his career as an educator, head athletic trainer and NATA president. As an extension of respect, gratitude and to honor his memory, SLC offers the Chuck Kimmel First-Time Attendee Award to allow more athletic training students the opportunity to attend the NATA convention.
To assist athletic training students who have never attended the annual NATA convention, this award will provide a total of $2,000 in award money to as many as four athletic training students, to help them attend their first NATA convention. Chuck Kimmel First-Time Attendee Award applications are open from Jan. 15 to April 1.
