Celebrating Athletic Trainers, Since 1950, Champions in Health Care

With National Athletic Training Month officially kicking off March 1, you might be looking for ways to celebrate the profession and shine a light on athletic training's “Champions in Health Care.”

Whether you’ve got five minutes or five hours to devote to your efforts, NATA is here to help. Each week in March, NATA Now will highlight three NATM celebration tips, ranging in time needed to accomplish. We will also highlight the resources you can use as you shout out your peers and increase the public’s understanding of the athletic training profession.

For more information, visit our NATM webpage.

Got Five Minutes? Hang Up the NATM Poster

One of the easiest ways you can celebrate the month is by displaying this year’s NATM poster in your workplace, be it the athletic training facility, hallway or other place of prominence. The poster was shared with members in the February NATA News. Members can also download a copy of the 2025 poster – as well as posters from previous NATM celebrations – from the NATM webpage for free.

Have a Bit More Time? Share Our Resources

If you have a bit more time this week, you can celebrate NATM and advocate for the profession by sharing NATA’s external-facing resources with your stakeholders, including parents/guardians, patients, employers and legislators. At Your Own Risk, NATA’s public-facing initiative, offers a variety of resources that detail what athletic trainers do, the different settings in which they can be found and how to hire an AT.

Have Even More Time? Get a Proclamation Signed

NATM is a great time to get your city and/or state to publicly recognize the athletic training profession through the signing of a proclamation or resolution. NATA offers a variety of samples to help you in the endeavor. Reach out to the NATA Government Affairs Department if you need assistance or have questions.
