Keynote
ATEC 2017's keynote session, "Innovative Technology to Assist and Assess Learners", will focus on technology with healthcare informatics to enhance clinical learning with competency based learning and Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) and will be delivered by William Tierney, MD, a general internist and medical informaticist who currently serves as Chair of the Department of Population Health in the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin.
His interests and expertise are improving health care delivery and its outcomes through developing and implementing new systems of care, including electronic health records (EHRs) in hospital and outpatient venues in the U.S. and East Africa.
Dr. Tierney serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of OpenMRS, Inc., is a member of the Institute of Medicine and the Association of American Physicians, a Master of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics as well as one of the founding members of the AMA's "Accelerating Change in Medical Education Consortium Schools".

Education Research Forum – February 17
The Education Research Forum presented by the NATA Education Advancement Committee is geared toward novice and existing educational researchers who want to continue to enhance their knowledge and skills related to educational research methodologies, scholarship, and grant submission processes. Attending this forum will help participants to advance professional and personal practice, to network and to learn from experts in the field and from each other.
The Education Research Forum is conveniently timed so that ATEC attendees may attend the forum prior to the start of ATEC.

After claiming your luggage, please contact Hilton DFW Lakes Transportation dispatcher at (817) 410-6778.
When speaking with the Hilton DFW Lakes dispatcher, you will need to give your terminal and gate number.
Once you have informed the dispatcher of your location, you will be instructed where to board the Hilton DFW Lakes shuttle.
The Hilton DFW Lakes shuttles are dark blue with a white global map on the side.
Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center also provides complimentary DFW International Airport shuttle transportation for your departure. The shuttles depart from the hotel lobby on the hour and half past the hour, 24 hours a day.
Hyatt Place
The Hyatt Place provides complimentary DFW Airport shuttle. Please call the hotel directly at 972-691-1199 (dial 0) upon landing and collecting your luggage. You will be asked for your gate and terminal number then be directed to meet the van on the lower level. Hyatt Place returns to DFW upon request every 1/2 hour.

The NATA/Colwick travel program offers airfares 5-15% lower than published fares. Please note your ticket should be booked to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or Dallas Love Field (DAL). DFW is closest to the Hilton DFW Lakes where the meeting is taking place.
