October is right around the corner, and with it comes the NATA membership renewal season. This year’s campaign theme, “Beyond With NATA,” highlights how membership empowers you to achieve your goals, advance your career, build connections with peers and stay current through exclusive member resources.

Every day, NATA and the NATA Government Affairs Department are working on behalf of the athletic training profession. With staff members experienced in all aspects of the legislative process, the NATA Government Affairs Department is the sole department focused on advocacy for the profession. NATA’s goal is to ensure that all ATs can work to the fullest extent of their education and skill set.

This August, the NATA Board of Directors approved a series of bylaw updates. This included an update to who is eligible to run for president of the association. The new bylaw states:

           8.2 President.

Throughout the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo, held June 24-27 in Orlando, attendees had opportunities to connect with and support the NATA Research & Education Foundation. 

“This year’s convention was a huge success for the NATA Foundation because it highlighted the strength of our community and the power of our mission,” said NATA Foundation Director Kathryn LaLonde.
