Throughout the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo, held June 24-27 in Orlando, attendees had opportunities to connect with and support the NATA Research & Education Foundation. 

“This year’s convention was a huge success for the NATA Foundation because it highlighted the strength of our community and the power of our mission,” said NATA Foundation Director Kathryn LaLonde. 

Ten years ago, Mike Prybicien, LAT, ATC, CES, shared with NATA News and NATA Now readers how his background in athletic training helped his family navigate his son Aiden’s diabetes diagnosis.

During the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo in Orlando, a now 16-year-old Aiden joined his father to help educate other athletic trainers about caring for those with diabetes during the “Managing the Diabetic Physically Active Patient” Learning Lab June 27.

The NATA Board of Directors approved a series of bylaw updates during its Aug. 25 meeting. 

These updates are substantive changes, which were submitted to each of the districts’ annual business meetings after an initial board approval. Each bylaw then had to be approved by at least two-thirds of the NATA’s districts before being resubmitted to the board for final approval. After receiving final board approval, the new bylaws went into effect immediately.

An NATA 75th anniversary special event, hosted by the NATA Historical Commission,  brought together pin collecting enthusiasts during the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando. 

More than 30 athletic trainers and athletic training students attended the NATA Pin Collectors' Meet and Greet, organized by Historical Commission member Jeff Stone, MEd, LAT, ATC, an NATA Hall of Fame Class of 2012 member, to exchange and trade pins and patches. 

The 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando brought students from across the country together into an integrated convention experience in the Orange County Convention Center. From cheering on their peers during the 16th NATA Quiz Bowl and participating in the student learning lab to mingling with experienced professionals, student attendees made connections and bolstered their AT education.

As attendees learned the latest in athletic training professional development, NATA hosted two national media briefings during the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando, showcasing the expertise of members in the health care landscape. 

During the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando, convention attendees connected with more than 245 exhibitors in the exhibit hall of the Orange County Convention Center. The AT Expo was an opportunity for ATs to browse from the largest showcase of products and services for the athletic training profession. Various NATA committees presented their awards during the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando. During the NATA Hall of Fame Induction and National Awards Ceremony June 25 in Orlando, NATA recognized its 2025 national award recipients. As the winners walked the stage with their plaques, they were greeted with handshakes and hugs from NATA President A.J. Duffy III, MS, ATC, PT, and standing ovations from the crowd. In the Chuck Kimmel Memorial NATAPAC Luncheon keynote address, Mark Coberley, MS LAT, ATC, NATA Hall of Fame member and past District Five director, offered reflections on leadership, advocacy and the power of consistent, intentional action. 

Speaking to a room of emerging and established leaders, he delivered a compelling message built not on personal accolades, but on decades of observation and lived experience.
