Any certified member of the NATA can sponsor a candidate. Only one sponsor per candidate is permitted, so the first person to nominate an indivdual will be the official sponsor.

 

When is the nomination deadline?

 

The final day we will accept award nominations is November 15, 2009. We encourage all sponsors to make their nominations as early as possible to ensure the candidates have ample time to complete their many application requirements.

 

How do I nominate an individual for one of these awards?

 

	Review the criteria for each award listed below. If your candidate meets the minimum requirements, click on the "Nomination Form” link below. Complete all form fields and select the applicable award from the drop-down menu. Click “Submit.”

 

You will receive a confirmation e-mail to let you know NATA received the nomination.

 

How will my candidate know s/he has been nominated?

 

Your nominee will receive an e-mail from NATA informing him/her of the nomination. The message will include a link to the nomination form and instructions for completing it. It is the nominee’s responsibility to complete and submit the application and other required paperwork (i.e. vitae, letters of recommendation, etc.) to the NATA by December 1, 2009.

 

After I nominate an individual for an award, what are my responsibilities?

 

Each candidate’s application should include letters of recommendation. Sponsors are responsible for ensuring this occurs. Some nominees feel uncomfortable requesting such letters from colleagues. Others prefer to handle letter procurement themselves. With that in mind, we ask that the sponsor obtain these letters from the individuals the nominee designates, unless the nominee indicates s/he will do so.

 

What if I don’t receive a confirmation e-mail from NATA?
