Thank you for using the NATA career center. The center is utilized by employers seeking to hire athletic trainers. Terminology is important to our members, particularly the use of the terms “athletic trainer” or “certified athletic trainer” and “athletic training room”. Please do not use the word "trainer" alone in your position listing. We appreciate your help in observing this professional standard, which helps differentiate our members from those in other occupations.
If you are hiring a dual credentialed athletic trainer, please word the vacancy notice appropriately. Examples are "Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist," "AT/PT," "Athletic Trainer/Performance Enhancement Specialist," or "AT/PES."
NATA reserves the exclusive right to remove any job listing from the Career Center if the NATA determines it is in the best interests of its members or the profession to do so. This includes, but is not limited to, questionable employment practices, inappropriate verbiage, substandard compensation or insufficient payment for the job listing.
To be posted on the NATA professional career center, positions should meet or exceed the 25th percentile for that job category – based on published salary data. This is to ensure job openings listed for our members are appropriate, professional positions.
To determine the appropriate compensation for your job posting, please access our salary survey database.
